-Race postponed from Sunday afternoon thunderstorm. The United States is the favorite over Canada based on the American's victory at the Lucence World Cup in June. All crews should go flat out to avoid going to the repechage on the now shorter week.

Lane 1 - United States Lane 2 - Great Britain Lane 3 - China Lane 4 - Germany
-Also postponed from Sunday afternoon. Should be a fast race between all crews. Both the American and German lineups have not raced internationally yet and will be looking to advance straight to Sunday's final. China and Great Britain both showed good speed during the World Cup curcuit and China has the home water.
Women's Single Sculls Quarterfinal 1 - 15:30

Lane 1 - Zimbabwe (HILL) Lane 2 - United States (GUERETTE) Lane 3 - Italy (BASCELLI) Lane 4 - Poland (MICHALSKA) Lane 5 - Spain (DOMINGUEZ) Lane 6 - Kazakhstan (DUDCHENKO)
-Based on the performances from Saturday's heats, the three to advance from quarterfinal 1 should be the United States, Italy, and Poland with Spain possibly in the mix for the third qualifying spot.

-This is a tough draw for Jurkowski of the US. The fight for the third qualifying spot should be between the United States and the Netherlands with New Zealand and Sweden taking the top two spots.

Lane 1 - United States (WINKLEVOSS/WINKLEVOSS) Lane 2 - Croatia (SKELIN/SKELIN) Lane 3 - Great Britain (BOURNE-TALYOR/SOLESBURY) Lane 4 - Poland (HOJKA/GODEK) Lane 5 - Denmark (NIELSEN/LARSEN)
-With three of five crews qualifying, the final spot will likely come down to the United States, Croatia, and Denmark. Both Great Britain and Poland showed more speed in their heats, but anything can happen with qualification at stake.

-Should be a good race for the two qualifying spots between Australia, Czech, and the United States. Czech had the fasted heat time and Ukraine was significantly slower that the other three.

-Another good race for three spots in the semifinals between the United States, Russia, Belgium, and Bulgaria. Russia and Belgium had the two fastest heat times on Saturday.
